A year ago, the people at Japanese Nostalgic Auto endeavored to re-make those touge streets in Southern California with the first-ever Touge California rally. The achievement of that occasion incited the current year's second yearly Touge California, which joined 26 Japanese exemplary vehicles chose by JNC staff members. Among those vehicles were three from Mazda's legacy gathering: a 1975 Mazda REPU (turning motor pickup), a 1978 Mazda GLC, and a 1985 Mazda RX-7. (Click here for points of interest on those autos.)
Touge California turned out to be a long way from a simple, blustery voyage, with more than 200 miles of picturesque and frequently difficult streets in and around San Diego and Orange District. The accompanying are all the vintage Japanese vehicles that partook in the occasion.

The original Toyota Celica was all around spoke to at the rally with three case of the notchback body style. Of the three, this 1977 Celica looked nearest to stock with a dazzling blend of pearl white paint, cocoa cowhide inside, and back window louvers.

1972 Datsun 240Z
Of the modest bunch of 240Zs, this one was especially unique since it was already possessed by Yutaka Katayama, the father of the Z auto who is frequently alluded to as Mr. K. He later skilled this Z to his own partner, whose child gladly steered the yellow roadster at Touge California.

1973 Subaru 1400 GL Coupe
The rally's solitary Subaru had a deceivingly long hood that housed a pitiful 1.4-liter, four-chamber boxer motor driving the front wheels without any than 70 hp. The idiosyncratic roadster was difficult to miss all through the course on account of its brilliant green paint, which was a production line shading offered by Subaru in 1976.

1984 Toyota Century
It might have doily-secured seats, however this 1984 Toyota Century directed admiration at Touge California. The proprietor procured this mint vehicle while he was positioned in Japan, where the Century is viewed as a select ride for government authorities and VIPs. This Century is fueled by a forceful 4.0-liter, hemispherical V-8, and its air suspension keeps the ride pleasant and smooth. Those doilies, coincidentally, are authentic Toyota embellishments.
